At the U3A Executive Committee in March 2020 the unanimous decision was taken to suspend all monthly and group meetings until the situation in relation to Covid-19 (corona virus) improves.
The committee have decided to trial meetings on Zoom from December.
Our next Zoom meeting on 17th February at 10:30 for an 11:00 start. The speaker will be Stephen Day who many of you will know from his work in the Registry and the Robinson Library.
Stephen’s subject will be Arthur Jacob Macan and the Macan Asylum for the Blind (pictured) which was opened in 1854 on the site of the Fever Hospital on the Cathedral Road in Armagh, and it’s life up until its demise over 100 years later which led to the formation of the Macan Trust.
