We have organised a tour of the Armagh Cider Company Premises at Ballintaggart House. The date is Friday, 1st November and this will be another outing combined with out-to-lunch.
We have the following details of the day:
When group arrive they are given a drink of juice with shortbread.
Philip will give a talk on history of the place (approx 20 mins)
Then tour of bottling plant which may or may not be working (approx 25 mins). Then tasting of all products (remember to note favourite and ask for it at lunch)
Vegetable soup, sausage roll, wheaten and soda bread, all locally made
Apple pie and fresh cream.
If anyone is interested in horses they will bring out a pony and talk about it.
A trip (including Out to Lunch) to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens has been arranged for Friday, 27th September 2019.
The bus will depart from Armagh City Hotel at 9:30 am and return around 5:30 pm.
The price will be £32 . This includes bus (subsidised), tea/coffee and scones on arrival in Tea Rooms, entrance to Castle and Gardens, a 2 course lunch with tea or coffee in Yellow Door Restaurant at Castle and tips for restaurant and bus driver.
Numbers are limited to 50. It may be necessary to split into 2 groups for the tours.
Payment to be paid by cheque made out to Armagh U3A before 5th September.

Mains Irish roast beef, mash, roasted root veg and a rich gravy. Fillet of salmon , mash, roasted root veg and lemon sauce. Chicken fillet with Parma ham and Brie with homemade chips, salad and sun dried tomato sauce.
